A significant new major release of SOQL Studio, version 2025.2, is now available. This update contains significant enhancements and bug fixes:

Enhancements

• Enabled schema aware, comprehensive syntax checking.
  • The SOQL Editor can now detect most SOQL syntax errors as the query is typed in
  • Syntax errors now presented as errors in Messages tool window. Potential syntax errors that aren't determined until execution are presented as warnings
  • Improved existing edits and messaging
  • Added tool tip error message display when hovering over a language element marked as an error
• Updated messages window to show the number of each type of message currently displayed in addition to the total number of each message type
• Updated Clear Editor button functionality to also clear out associated messages and query results
• Upgraded to Summer'25 (API v64)

Bug Fixes

• Corrected an issue where double-clicking on whitespace in the Messages window would cause the application to unexpectedly close
• Fixed several issues where an error in the Language Server would cause the application to unexpectedly close
• Automatically refresh the Org when query results include data from an object that's not currently known to SOQL Studio to prevent a failure to render results
• Added additional logic to prevent the application from shutting down unexpectedly during start-up when the current system has no default printer defined
• Fixed an issue where query results fail to render when the Select has multiple child queries and first record in the results has no children in rel1 and > 2000 children in rel2
• Saving an unnamed SOQL doc or renaming an open doc in the editor does not propagate to the messages window, orphaning any messages.
• Corrected an issue that causes an export to JSON to fail when child results were included
