I tried to take another run at this. QAT Customizations are not persisting in userconfig. I have uninstalled and re-installed 2025.2, I have directly edited the userconfig,, nothing persists these custom settings beyond the default. I notice in the userconfig for QAT customization it calls out that the Capacity="4". Is this really the capacity?

Anyway, all I want to do is persist QAT customizations. Looking at Actipro documentation I can't see why this isn't working but maybe you can shed some light. I am a software engineer so I am willing to try a few things if so needed.

Is it just QAT customizations that don't get saved or is it any customization?  I tried to replicate the behavior by adding additional items to the QAT, shutting down the app and launching it again.  Each time, the QAT displayed the correct items.  I do, however, see some inconsistencies in how those items are stored in user.config, which we'll need to research further.

Can you send our support email the following information:

1) The full <setting name="QATCustomizations"> node from your user.config both before you add anything and after you've added items

2) A screen shot of the QAT portion of the UI after you've added items

3) Any error logs from logs folder with a date corresponding to your attempts to customize the QAT.  Logs can be found at <installation path>\logs which is typically C:\Users\<user id>\AppData\Roaming\Visual Software Systems LLC\SOQL Studio\Logs

4) Is you user account's AppData\Local folder stored locally on your PC (e.g. not redirected to a cloud or network location)?

5) Which version of Windows are you running?

Please try this and let me know if the QAT changes get saved:

1) Rename the C:\Users\<windows user id>\AppData\Local\Visual_Software_Systems,_ to something like C:\Users\<windows user id>\AppData\Local\xVisual_Software_Systems,_

2) Open SOQL Studio, customize the QAT and close SOQL Studio. Reopen SOQL Studio to confirm if the QAT was saved or not. Reply back with the results

If the test was successful, meaning the QAT was saved, continue with this user.config and add your org(s) and customizations to it.
