SOQL Studio sometimes takes a lot of CPU resources while idling

I've noticed that sometimes my computer will be running slowly. I have a SOQL Studio window open in the background, but I haven't touched it since yesterday (usually keep it open all the time, leaving it up for days or even weeks). When looking at task manager SOQL Studio will be using a considerable portion of my CPU resources. Why? What is SOQL Studio doing while it isn't in use? This seems problematic. Closing SOQL Studio then frees up my CPU resources and my computer speeds up again.

Hi Mark,

We’ve seem SOQL Studio use 3-5% cpu while idling but nothing more than that. It’s related to the grid control that we use to present results. We’ll look into ways to reduce this behavior but in the meantime there are a couple of ways you can mitigate this. The easiest way is to minimize the app. That will stop the usage while keeping the app running. Closing any editors that have a “Results” tab will also stop the usage without the need to minimize the app.
